Biochemical pathway of Rab39a: The human Rab39a cycle between the active GTP-bound (membrane-associated) and inactive GDP-bound (cytosol-associated) conformations using DENN as guanine nucleotide exchange factor (GEF) and GTPase-activating protein (GAP). Rab39a is involved in regulation of cellular endocytosis pathway along Golgi-associate vesicular transport. Alteration in Rab39a has been implicated in causing lung cancer [5, 8, 9]
